Below you will find an overview of my telecom career, outlining the companies that engaged me, the projects I have managed, and the partners I have collaborated with.

I began my telecom career in 1998 at Nokia in Leidschendam, where I spent 16 years in a variety of technical and leadership roles. Starting as an engineer, I worked across multiple mobile network technologies including 2G, 3G, EDGE, GPRS, 4G and GSM-Rail, primarily on BSC, TCSM and RNC platforms.
Over time, I progressed into roles as a technical expert, team leader and line manager, combining deep technical knowledge with strong people and project management skills. I worked closely with major telecom operators such as T-Mobile, KPN, Tele2, Orange and ProRail.
In 2014, I was hired LCC Tech Mahindra in ’s-Hertogenbosch as a Project Manager for KPN’s Max Capacity project. The project focused on decommissioning Ericsson base stations for reuse, as well as dismantling the final 250 legacy Nokia base stations within the network.
The work was executed by a lean, highly efficient team in close collaboration with Ericsson, who acted as KPN’s managed services partner.

In 2016, Koning & Hartman in Delft engaged me initially as a Site Engineer and later as Delivery Manager for T-Mobile’s special Antenna Incidents project. What began as an eight-week assignment focused on rechecking as-built documentation evolved into an engagement of more than a year, driven by my skill set and consistent quality of delivery. In this role, I managed subcontractor Spie, ensuring that all identified on-site deficiencies were corrected to the required standards.
In 2018, Huawei in Voorburg engaged me as a Delivery Manager to complete several ongoing projects for T-Mobile within the RAN domain. These projects included the 1800RRU rollout, the 2600TDD rollout, and Tele2 as-built delivery. Key partners were Spie, Triple-A Networks and Tele2.
Subsequently, Huawei Amsterdam appointed me as an interim Project Manager for KPN’s End-to-End (E2E) project, focused on the full implementation of fiber (FttS) solutions for business customers. Working closely with KPN and Allinq, the assignment was initially planned for two months but extended to six months due to increased customer demand. KPN expressed strong satisfaction with the project execution and results.
Following this, I took on the role of Delivery Manager for T-Mobile’s large-scale RAN Capacity (5G upgrade) program, which involved upgrading the entire radio network across approximately 5000 locations. I was responsible for the engineering delivery, ensuring zero-measurement engineering was completed at each site and that all engineering packages were delivered on time. Engineering partners included XYZ, TKT, Dynamica, SPIE and VolkerWessels.

In 2022, Connect44 in The Hague engaged me as a Delivery Manager for Odido’s Ericsson Swap project, involving the replacement of the entire radio access network (approximately 5000 sites), migrating from Huawei to Ericsson equipment. I was responsible for the engineering delivery of this complex program, working with engineering partners including XYZ, TKT, Dynamica and Spie. Additional stakeholders included Cignal, INNSO and Odido.
Following this, I took over the 5G Microwave Swap project, which involved replacing 400 Ericsson microwave links with high-capacity Huawei 5G microwave solutions. This project covered the full lifecycle: engineering, deployment and as-built delivery, in collaboration with subcontractors Circet, Dael and Spie.
In parallel, due to project delays at Odido, I was asked to manage the WREQ As-Built Delivery, with the objective of eliminating the subcontractor backlog and achieving a zero-backlog status by the end of 2025. I also led Umlaut optimisation activities, delivering 10 high-priority microwave links to increase capacity at critical network locations.
Planned projects for 2026 include:
- 5G Microwave Swap: Continuation of the migration, replacing an additional 250 Ericsson microwave links with high-capacity Huawei equipment.
- FttS Project: Removal of microwave links following their replacement by fiber.
- B2B Project: Completion of the removal or deployment of the final 30 business microwave transmission links after service termination by Odido.
In a lot of projects I had the pleasure to collaborate with great partners/colleagues:

Verhoeff Projects: Highly experienced, customer focussed.

Palm Projects: >25 years experience, customer 1st.
